Dr. Gaya Jayakody, a Mathematics Educationist, received her Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Physics (2002) with a First Class from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka, her MSc in Mathematic Education (2010) from University of Colombo and her Phd in Mathematics Education (2015) from Simon Fraser University, Canada under the supervision of Professor Rina Zazkis. Upon her return to Sri Lanka, she has actively worked as an advocate for conceptual and meaningful teaching and learning of Mathematics. She joined the Technology Faculty of University of Sri Jayewardenepura in 2018 where she is currently working as a Senior Lecturer in Mathematics.
