Mr. Kusal C. Jayathilka is a Lecturer (On Contract) specializing in Construction and Building Services in the Department of Civil & Environmental Technology, Faculty of Technology, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. He has been serving in this position since August 2025, actively contributing to undergraduate teaching and academic activities within the department.

 

He graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Honours) degree from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura in 2023, obtaining a Second Class Upper Division, with specialization in Construction and Building Services. His academic background provides a strong foundation in construction technology, building systems, and applied engineering practices.

 

Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Jayathilka served as a Demonstrator in Geotechnology Specialization at the Department of Civil & Environmental Technology, Faculty of Technology, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, where he was involved in laboratory instruction and academic support. In addition, he has worked as a Visiting Lecturer at the University College of Batangala, Sri Lanka, from February 2024 to June 2024, gaining further experience in higher education teaching.

 

His academic interests are aligned with construction and building services technology, and he is actively engaged in teaching and professional development within the field of civil and environmental technology.
