Personal Profile

I am a professional Geoarchaeologist and Sedimentologist with more than 10 years’ experience in fields of quaternary geology and geoarchaeology. My expertise extends to Geoarchaeological research, with a particular focus on archaeometry, paleo-geochemistry, fluvial sedimentological techniques, and cultural material science as well as broad range of knowledge in advanced fluvial sedimentological techniques. In addition, my experience in focusing on study of human- environmental interaction and fast learning and quickly adapting to new projects related to cultural and environmental sciences.

I have provided services for Archaeological and Environmental Management projects which is conducted by the in the national and international funding agencies such as DAAD, World Bank and Asian Development Bank, specially been involved with several economic and academic development projects as well as research projects on heritage management and environmental conservation aspects during my carrier. Currently I am working as a Lecturer in Geotechnology at the Department of Civil and Environmental Technology, Faculty of Technology, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka.
