Eng. S. Himanujahn is a dedicated Civil Engineer and Lecturer at the Department of Civil & Environmental Technology, Faculty of Technology, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. He holds a Bachelor of Technology Honours in Engineering from the Open University of Sri Lanka, where he graduated with a Second Class Upper. His research interests encompass hydrological modeling, seismic analysis, and water quality management, with a focus on sustainable environmental practices.
With extensive experience in academia and consultancy, he has contributed to various projects and publications, including studies on groundwater susceptibility and the use of biochar in environmental remediation. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Institute of Engineers, Sri Lanka, and the Young Scientists Forum. Passionate about education and environmental sustainability, he is committed to fostering a new generation of engineers equipped to tackle the challenges of climate change and resource management.
