Eng. Dinal Priyankara holds a Bachelor’s Honours Degree in Earth Resources Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. He has practical field experience in geotechnical engineering, particularly in deep foundation construction and soil testing.
Before joining the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, he worked as an Assistant Lecturer at the Institute of Technology, University of Moratuwa. He has over four years of teaching experience in the higher education sector. Currently, he is pursuing a Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering at the University of Moratuwa.
He is a member of the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL), the Sri Lankan Geotechnical Society (SLGS), and the Engineering Council of Sri Lanka.
His current research focuses on evaluating the engineering properties of metamorphic rocks in Sri Lanka using indirect methods. Additionally, his research interests include ground improvement techniques and soil stabilization.
