Personal Profile

Dr. E.V.A. Premalal received his B.Sc (special) Degree in Physics (2003) from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka and M.Phil. Degree (2007) in the field of Dye-sensitized solar cells from the Postgraduate Institute of Science University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. He has received his Ph.D Degree (2011) in the field of Dye-sensitized solar cells at Shizuoka University, Hamamatsu, Japan. Then He has worked as a Postdoctoral fellow (2012-2015) in the area of synthesis and application of spinnable-carbon nanotubes at Faculty of Engineering, Shizuoka University Japan. Before his joining to the Facuty of Technology, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, he has worked in the Sri Lanka Institute of Nanotechnology (SLINTEC) (2015-2019) as a senior research scientist. His research interest are thin film solar cells, supercapacitors and batteries and nanomaterial synthesizing from CVD techniques. He has published 31 research publications in index journals and about 20 conference proceedings and abstracts in international conferences. Currently, He is working as a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Technology, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka.

Research Keywords: Thin film solar cells, carbon nanotubes and CVD techniques, battery and supercapacitors.
