Geotechnology

The “Geotechnology” focus area of study is the latest addition to the existing focus areas under the Department of Civil and Environmental Technology at the Faculty of Technology. Presently, there is a need of Engineering Technologists to fulfill the gap between Geotechnical Engineers and Technical Officers/Technicians in the field of Geotechnology. This focus area of study offers an opportunity to specialize in Geotechnology to conduct site investigations and instrumentation, provide technical solutions and management support as well as to assist Engineers in geotechnical design.
